Will my first appointment include treatment?
Yes absolutely. The (sports) massage therapist will have to ask you some simple safety check and. medical questions, they may also conduct a short examination but the majority of your session will dedicated towards receiving hand on treatment.
Do I need a referral letter from my GP or consultant?
No, this is not necessary if you are a self pay client.
How frequent are the massage treatments you recommend?
This can vary depending on your situation, if you are getting over an injury or build up of tension that has occurred over a period of time, you may require a series of sessions to resolve this issue. This would usually be once, sometimes twice a week for a few weeks. If there are maintaining factors that can’t be fully resolved such as physically or emotionally demanding job, or some wear and tear after the initial phase you might be expected to drop down to a maintenance dose of once a month or once every two months to prevent reoccurrence. However you are equally welcome just to book in adhoc whenever you like, we will not pressurise you into long long and expensive sign ups.
Will you try and sign me up to lengthy and expensive courses of treatment?
As mentioned above we don’t like high pressure sales that you might hear about from other clinics, our ethos is focused on “patients’ (needs) before profit”. We believe in simple, good old fashioned advice, that’s as honest and ethical as possible. We may recommend an Action Plan including some self help advice and or a short course of treatment to provide maximum benefit but this will always be provided with the best intentions. We can offer packages of between 3 to 6 treatments for which we can provide some discount and incentives for pre-booking your appointments, but pay as you go sessions are equally fine with us.

Juan assess me and ask me some questions, he started my treatment with acupuncture following by manipulation to release some knots deep into my shoulder.
